Laura’s Studio by the Bay is magical retreat on the beautiful Oregon Coast devoted to the premise that artists need a relaxing place to unwind and create. As a small business we are able to provide a high-quality studio environment without breaking your budget. We offer classes to both formal and informal groups seeking to develop their artistic techniques, or simply wanting to enjoy the process of painting.

The studio is 800 square feet of studio space facing beautiful Alsea Bay with plenty of windows and light. We have a fully equipped kitchen two grocery stores within three miles of the studio for those who want to prepare their own meals. You can also visit any of the several good restaurants within four miles of the studio.

Upstairs we offer a dorm with a stunning view. We can sleep up to five people for a cost of $15 per night per person. This means the artists never have to leave the studio and can paint until the wee small hours of the morning if they so desire.

Birders will want to bring their binoculars during the spring and fall migrations. There are plenty of egrets and blue herons that reside on the bay as well as our resident eagle who is frequently seen fishing during the summer. We have an elk herd that occasionally graces the front yard and deer that regularly come down in the back yard to give us all a show out the kitchen window.
