We offer world class teachers
and a warm, relaxed atmosphere to encourage creativity and pleasure
in the learning and painting process.
The studio is available
for groups who wish to “run away from
home” to paint as well as for more formal groups or teachers
who want a place to hold classes. As a member of the Society of
Decorative Painters, the studio is also delighted to host chapter
meetings.
Bookings should be made well in advance to assure a reservation.
There are several seminars scheduled throughout the year with local,
national and international teachers. Bjorge Klieve from Norway returns
each year in the spring to teach two sessions of Rosemaling and Larisa
Dyatlova from Russia will be having an annual fall seminar featuring
a Zhostovo furniture piece. Other artists from closer to home are
also featured during the year.
There is an unusual assortment of wood surfaces to paint on and
some supplies. We offer a selection of Golden, Delta and JoSonja
paints as well as Mary Owens products and supplies.
For those attending scheduled seminars, there is hot meal waiting
for you when you arrive the night before and we provide a snack every
afternoon to sustain our hard working painters!
